This comprehensive 12-day pilgrimage begins with a drive from Pathankot to the spiritual gateway of Haridwar, leading into the Himalayas of Uttarakhand. The tour is dedicated to completing the sacred Chota Char Dham Yatra, involving high-altitude travel and trekking to four revered shrines. The circuit includes Yamunotri (source of the Yamuna River, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna), Gangotri (source of the Ganga River, dedicated to Goddess Ganga), Kedarnath (one of the 12 Jyotirlingas, dedicated to Lord Shiva), and Badrinath (dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and part of the all-India Char Dham). This journey offers a profound blend of spiritual devotion, challenging mountain landscapes, and the witness of spectacular natural beauty, concluding with the return to Haridwar/Rishikesh.

Uttarakhand Tour Itinerary

01 : Pathankot to Haridwar (Journey to the Gateway)

Our representative will pick you up from Pathankot and begin the long but comfortable drive to Haridwar, the traditional gateway to the Char Dham Yatra. Check into your hotel upon arrival. In the evening, witness the spectacular Ganga Aarti ceremony at Har ki Pauri, a spiritual highlight of the trip.

02 : Haridwar to Barkot/Janki Chatti (Start of Yamunotri Route)

Drive from Haridwar further into the mountains, following the winding roads alongside the Yamuna River to the staging town of Barkot, or directly to Janki Chatti, the starting point for the Yamunotri trek. This is a crucial day for adjusting to the mountain altitude.

Overnight in Barkot/Janki Chatti.

03 : Yamunotri Dham and Return

The first leg of the yatra. Travel to **Janki Chatti** and begin the 6 km trek (or opt for pony/doli service) to **Yamunotri Temple**, the source of the **Yamuna River**. Offer prayers to **Goddess Yamuna** and take a dip in the holy Surya Kund hot springs. Return to Janki Chatti/Barkot after the *darshan*.

Overnight in Barkot.

04 : Barkot to Uttarkashi (Gateway to Gangotri)

After breakfast, drive to **Uttarkashi**. The name means 'Kashi of the North,' and the town is famous for its temples. Visit the sacred **Vishwanath Temple**. Spend the afternoon relaxing and preparing for the next day's high-altitude drive.

05 : Gangotri Dham and Return

Take an early morning drive along the scenic Bhagirathi River to **Gangotri Temple**, the source of the **Ganga River** (known as Bhagirathi here). Offer prayers to **Goddess Ganga**. You may also visit the submerged Shivalinga (visible in winter) near the temple. Return to Uttarkashi by evening.

06 : Uttarkashi to Guptkashi/Sitapur (Start of Kedarnath Route)

The longest travel day. Drive through picturesque valleys and past Rudraprayag to reach **Guptkashi** or Sitapur, the nearest major staging point for Kedarnath. Register for the pilgrimage and prepare for the next day's trek.

Overnight in Guptkashi/Sitapur.

07 : Kedarnath Dham (Trek/Helicopter)

Drive to Gaurikund, the official starting point. Begin the strenuous 18-20 km trek (or take a helicopter/pony/doli) to **Kedarnath Temple**. Upon reaching the temple complex, dedicated to **Lord Shiva** (one of the 12 Jyotirlingas), perform *darshan* and attend the evening Aarti.

Overnight near Kedarnath Temple (high altitude) or trek back to Gaurikund/Sitapur.

08 : Kedarnath Descent & Drive to Guptkashi

Wake up early for morning prayers at Kedarnath Temple. After breakfast, begin the trek down to Gaurikund. From Gaurikund, drive back to your accommodation in Guptkashi/Sitapur to rest and recover from the strenuous trek.

09 : Guptkashi to Joshimath/Badrinath Area

Drive from Guptkashi through the confluence town of Chamoli towards the holy city of **Badrinath**. Check into your accommodation in Joshimath or the Badrinath area. This region provides stunning views of the Nar and Narayan peaks.

Overnight in Badrinath/Joshimath.

10 : Badrinath Dham & Mana Village

Visit **Badrinath Temple**, dedicated to **Lord Vishnu**. It is the only Dham that is part of both the Chota Char Dham and the all-India Char Dham. Take a dip in the Tapt Kund (hot spring) before entering the temple. Later, visit **Mana Village**, the last Indian village before the Indo-China border, and see the Vyas Gufa and Ganesh Gufa.

Overnight in Badrinath/Joshimath.

11 : Badrinath to Rishikesh/Haridwar (The Return Journey)

Begin the long drive back from Badrinath, descending from the high mountains. Drive towards Rishikesh/Haridwar. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. Spend the evening relaxing or souvenir shopping.

Overnight in Rishikesh/Haridwar.

12 : Departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Our representative will transfer you to the railway station or airport in Haridwar/Dehradun for your onward journey. Tour ends on departure.
